Big Changes- Some Good, Some Not
Just like taking off a bandage, I am going to tell you about the cruddy stuff and then leave you with the good stuff.
I got "let go" from the job I loved so much. The reasoning behind it is that I had too many complaints. A good portion of those issues were not my doing or misunderstandings and should have been taken care of and resolved by the district manager (apparently they were not). I was not the only one "let go", they also axed the top performer in the district and a couple other girls too.
Now for the good news! My brother Jeremiah got his mission call to Guatemala City, Guatemala. He just went through the temple fr the first time last Saturday. At that time my husband finished my father's temple work.
My Speech and Language Pathology classes have started and I absolutely love them.
My baby is now walking everywhere, we will have to get her shoes now. She also discovered she can whistle! My son used to whistle.
I just received alot of free preschool/kindergarten materials, so I am in the process of converting the playroom into a preschool room.
I almost forgot the biggest thing! We have a new addition to our family! Her name is Miley. She is a white-ish Labradoodle (Labrador/Poodle). She has green eyes. She was a puppy mill rescue at 3-months old and was adopted by a family that recently went through a divorce. That is how she came to be part of our family!

Blah, blah, blog..
Aaahhhh!!! I am terrible at blogging! So what is up with us? Our oldest is 4 now, the next one is almost 3 and the baby just turned 1. Baby is climbing stairs and growing teeth super fast (she likes to use them as a weapon against her brother). I am cutting my hours at work durring the week and will be starting Pre-Natal photography this next week. Curtis, is, um..., well he is doing better at the "husband" thing. Baby steps. I am now addicted to FreeCycle. It is a network where you give away stuff you don't need anymore, and then take things that other people don't need anymore. You just have to check it out.

My Father is now Baptized!
Randal Scott Blaney is now baptized! My father passed away on Dec. 30th 2007 as a cause of hardened arteries due to chronic alcoholism. Suffice it to say that his decisions in life were washed away in death, of which I am overjoyed. Curtis stood in proxy for him last night at the temple. I was not prepared to become so emotional. Tears of joy ran freely as I witnessed my husband being baptized and confirmed in behalf of my father. Before the ordinance was performed, I sat in the Baptistery chapel and read Doctrine & Covenants Section 128 regarding baptisms for the dead. The Holy Spirit testified to me that our beloved prophet Gordon B. Hinkley and many other good men taught my father. (D&C 138:57-59) Afterwards, Curtis and I were discussing our feelings about the event, and we both had the spirit testify that my father was in attendance and very interested in the proceedings (which is very much his personality). My emotional state was such a surprise to myself (and I was impressed upon that is was also a surprise to my father). I am still learning about the spirits that dwell among us, and their capabilities, but I think that for the evening, my father was able to speak to me. I felt him say, "Danielle, If I only knew how much this meant to you I would have done it many years ago." I will never forget this feeling. The pictures I have posted are a family portrait of me as a baby with my mom and dad, and of my last memory of what my father looked like before he passed away.

Family Photos from February
I got them! It was an interesting day, Bubba was very fussy, so we didn't get some poses that we would have liked. However, I do want to share a couple of my favorites.
We had such a difficult time choosing what to wear, I would have chosen something different, but maybe we can do our white linen outfits for the next photo shoot!
